Sun and warm weather prevailed
during the fishing opener, and the following week.
Walleyes were in abundance on the fishing opener, Blackduck Lake stills enjoys a
walleye boom.
All guest on the opening
weekend went home with their 6 limit of walleyes after also having several shore
dinners.
Several cabins that also usually fish Red Lake ( 1/2 hour away) stayed on
Blackduck because the fishing was so good.
Note: There is still no slot limit on Blackduck Lake.
Fishing this weekend on Blackduck was good also, as it was this week, but a little slower with a good evening bite,
many guest were also fishing Red Lake.
3 boats reported catching 100 walleyes Friday on Red, but could only catch 30 all day Saturday, with no real weather change except clouds Saturday.
